Manchester fundraising book ‘This is the Place’ is now available

Last night some of our Computerlovers attended the official launch of ‘This Is The Place – Choose Love, Manchester’, a fundraising book conceived in the wake of the Arena attack.

We’re one of 60 Manchester creatives invited to visually interpret lines from Tony Walsh’s now globally famous Manchester vigil poem.

The roll call is extensive, including world-renowned agencies and designers such as Peter Saville (New Order, Joy Division, Factory Records designer), Malcolm Garrett (Buzzcocks designer), Kevins Cummins and Craig Oldham. The book also contains personal messages from Tony Walsh and the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.

Profits from the book, available to buy on Amazon and Waterstones, are going to Manchester-based charities Forever Manchester, We Love MCR Emergency Fund and The Greater Manchester Mayor’s Homelessness Fund.

In addition to contributing our own creative execution of a line in the poem, we also created a Microsite for the project www.thisistheplacebook.com and a number of digital display banners.
